The Eight Immortals are a
representation of the people. The qualities in each represent the
eight aspirations of life in the following order: Wealth, honor,
reputation, literature, military, humanity, integrity and discipline.
They are a very good symbol of
harmony and balance. Everyone should strive for these qualities,
neglecting none. Families have this around the house to help them have
well-rounded children. Others have the Eight Immortals as a symbol of
excellence. An example to strive for.
